Masterclass · 8 weeks · self-paced

Learn to speak money into existence.

Eight weeks of structured debate training. One lesson, one drill against the AI coach, and one full round a week, and every round is scored by a three-judge AI panel against a rubric published before you speak. The improvement lands on the record instead of in your head.

What the money part actually means

Nothing on Debatable pays out today, and this course does not change that. What it changes is you. The skill is the asset: reading a room, holding a claim under pressure, and making the better argument land in the time you have. That is what gets paid in a courtroom, a pitch meeting, a salary negotiation, and eventually here.

The route on this site runs in that order. Get good, put rounds on the public record, climb the leaderboard, and be ready when prize events open with published rules. In the meantime the prediction board is free and runs on Play Points that never convert to cash, and calling rounds correctly there is the same skill this course teaches, pointed at someone else's speech.

What this is not. There are no live classes, no cohort, and no instructor waiting on a call. Nobody here promises that debate will make you money, and no dates or amounts are attached to prize events before their official rules publish.

What you get is a curriculum, a sparring partner that argues back, and a judge that writes down why you lost. That combination is what actually moves a speaker score.

How a week runs

Read the lesson. One idea, five minutes, from the learn hub. No week introduces two things at once.

Drill it out loud. The AI coach runs a focused drill on that one skill and pushes back in real time. Ten to fifteen minutes.

Run the assigned round. A full timed round on the week's motion, in the format that stresses that skill hardest.

Read your ballot. Three AI judges from different model families score against the published rubric. A split panel is recorded as unresolved rather than tie-broken, and you can appeal to a human.

The eight weeks

The weeks build, but they do not lock. If you already know you drop impacts, start at week three. Progress is saved in this browser.

Next up: Week 1, the unit of argument.

Who wrote it

The curriculum comes from the person who built this platform, a competitive parliamentary debater who also wrote the judge the course grades you with. The format rules the AI argues under are the real ones: Policy gets tagged cards, LD gets a value and criterion, British Parliamentary gets extensions and whip structure, and parliamentary formats do not invent citations they would never be allowed to read.

Questions

Is this live classes?

No. It is self-paced, and there is no session to miss. Every week is a lesson, a drill, and one round you run when it suits you. That is a deliberate choice: a live class you cannot attend is worth nothing, and the drills need to be repeatable rather than scheduled.

What does it cost?

$19 a month once billing is switched on. Billing is off across the whole site right now, so the course is free to start and nothing is charged. See free vs paid for how the rest of the plans work.

Do I need experience?

No. Week one starts at claim, warrant, and impact, which is the unit every format is built from. An experienced debater can skip to whichever week names a weakness they already know about.

Who grades the rounds?

A panel of three AI judges drawn from different model families, scoring against a rubric published before you speak. An even split is recorded as unresolved rather than tie-broken, because any tie-break rule would be our thumb on the scale. Either debater can appeal to a human. The whole charter is at judge integrity.

Does finishing it earn a certificate?

Not by itself. The credential is a separate assessment. This course is the preparation for it, and week eight points you there.

Can I do it with a partner or a club?

Yes. Run the weekly motions against a real person on live spar instead of the AI, and the same ballot comes back. Clubs working through it together should look at Debatable for schools.
